Sue Iliff
PhD, OTR/L
Hi everyone! I moved to the Nashville area from Albuquerque, New Mexico four years ago to start a new life journey as a professor and occupational therapist.! I have a PhD from Texas Woman's University in Occupational Therapy and have over 20+ years of pediatric OT clinical practice with children and families. I am also a professor at Belmont University's School of Occupational Therapy where I instruct and foster a great passion and love for pediatric therapy to the next generation of occupational therapists.
Growing up, I moved around a lot and lived in several states and countries, which did not help my need for structure, sensory input, and routine. I was definitely a sensory kid. I loved getting messy, touching EVERYTHING and to this day, sometimes I still rock myself to sleep! This is why I am so passionate about OT and working with children. I understand them at their core and enjoy problem-solving and finding creative strategies and solutions to help children and families meet their needs in functional ways.
In my spare time, I love to travel, exercise, practice yoga, and take in the wonderful live music scene in Music City! I am also a big fan of food so I think this town suits me just fine with all it's many flavors!
It is a pleasure and privilege to be part of the Wonderlight Therapy family and I can't wait to meet you!
